Full Root-level Access
What does the full root-level access option include? What rights will it bestow you with? How to log into your server as root?
When you have root-level access to a server, it means that you will have full control of it. In other words, you'll be able install any server-side application irrespective of the changes that it will make to the software setting on the server, and you are able to both access and change any file, including system files, and modify various settings. You can do this by connecting to the server as a root user that has full privileges to perform all these things and to generate other users, which includes users who also have full privileges. This connection can be established with a web-based graphical interface or a Secure Shell console. For safety reasons, it's recommended that you make another user for your daily work and employ the root user only when you need to modify the server or to install software that may be required by some script-driven app that you want to run.

Full Root-level Access in VPS
You will be able to take care of your new virtual private servers at the root level regardless of the package which you have picked, as long as the server is ordered with either the cPanel or the DirectAdmin web hosting Control Panel, or without any Control Panel at all. In the first case, many system settings can be managed through a user-friendly web-based interface, whereas in the second, you'll have to do everything via a console, until you decide to install a Control Panel yourself. In either case, you will have full control over the VPS as well as any kind of system and / or custom content on it all of the time, that makes this kind of website hosting perfect for any app that you cannot run with a shared web hosting account because of the restricted level of access - frameworks, VoIP and audio/video streaming software, and so on. The last VPS Control Panel alternative is Hepsia, but the root access to your server will be restricted.
- Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Hosting
Each and every dedicated server that we provide provides you with full root-level access, if the server is ordered with no Control Panel, or with cPanel or DirectAdmin. If you would like to set up and run heavy, resource-demanding applications and they have special requirements about the server software environment which can't be fulfilled by an ordinary shared website hosting package, our servers are the right solution. With no Control Panel at hand, you are able to access the server and change its settings and the content that you upload with a console, whereas with cPanel and DirectAdmin, you'll have a graphical interface to take care of everything related to your online content, and most server-side settings. Needless to say, when you get a dedicated server with no Control Panel, you can set up some third-party instrument manually, as long as it is compatible with the Operating System that you've selected at signup. If you select our Hepsia Control Panel on your order page, you'll have limited root access, yet you will still be able to do lots of things through a Secure Shell console. - Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Hosting
